The program targets transitioning active-duty service members with little to no prior cyber experience or education. Through program participation, they are learning and applying essential cybersecurity skills and competencies to be highly competitive in the marketplace. Beginning with a solid foundation in networking fundamentals and network security essentials it progresses into more advanced areas such analysis, threat management, policy, and compliance. Service members will develop the skills and confidence necessary for exploring modern cybersecurity theories through customized hands-on learning challenges and to communicate threat status’ to senior leadership. The CyberVets program also provides one-on-one mentorship and coaching supporting their transition into the civilian sector.
